Each piece is individually handcrafted using the spun glass technique. Molten glass, heated to approximately 2000°F, is poured into hardened steel molds and spun until it forms the delicate shell shape. While the glass remains hot, a special luster coating—made from organic color pigments and 24K gold—is applied, allowing the finish to fuse with the surface of the glass. As the piece slowly cools in a specialized furnace, the gold-infused luster develops its signature iridescent glow. A final layer of organic paint is then applied to create the rich background color of each piece.
